ChatGPT Part 14
ChatGPT can read drawings and charts and perform a financial analysis of the information in financial charts.

The first chart I asked GPT to analyze is a chart that tracked the impact that hydrogen therapy has on Alzheimer’s disease. The researchers in this clinical study gave each participant numerous cognitive tests throughout the study to determine the impact of the therapy. Here is the chart.
The following is ChatGPT’s quick analysis.
I wanted to try GPT-4’s analysis of financial data. I found a chart of the price of silver per ounce for the last five years.
My prompt was, “Perform a quick analysis of the chart.”
The response I received:
Being the smartie pants that I am, I ask ChatGPT to predict the price of silver next month based on the chart. ChatGPT declined with a long-winded response that started with this:
Predicting the future price of silver based on a chart without considering additional information such as market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events would be speculative. The price of commodities like silver can be influenced by a multitude of factors, including supply and demand dynamics, currency movements, interest rates, investment trends, and broader economic conditions.
Fair enough. I made the chart a bit more complicated by charting the fluctuations in the US Dollar, Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Crude Oil.
Using my same simple prompt, “Perform a quick analysis of the chart.”
