Red Light Therapy Treatments For Macular Degeneration
Treatments for dry Age-related Macular Degeneration have been limited until now.
I have written previously on using Red Light Therapy (RLT) to improve age related vision loss.
When I wrote this article, it was believed RLT could also help with macular degeneration, but there weren’t any clinical studies to back that up. Currently, numerous clinical studies have been performed showing positive treatment results using RLT to treat dry macular degeneration.
RLT Treatments For Macular Degeneration
While treatment for exudative (wet) AMD has advanced significantly through anti-VEGF therapies, treatment options for nonexudative (dry) AMD — especially in its earlier stages — remain limited.
