Vocal’s $5K Fiction Writing Contest

Twenty-five writers have the opportunity to earn $5000 for their short story.

If you can craft an engaging work of fiction, there’s a potential $5,000 prize that is up for grabs. But, like the plot of a good story, the twist is it’s not a single winner. Nope, a total of twenty-five people have the opportunity to win.

Each of those 25 winners will earn $5,000. Thus, Vocal is putting up $125,000 in total prize money for this challenge. Additionally, the 25 winners will have their stories published in Vocal’s first book, which is expected to be released in the spring of 2022. Your inclusion in Vocal’s anthology will give you the bragging rights to call yourself a published novelist.

And like those infamous info commercials say — but wait, there’s more. Besides the twenty-five grand prize winners, there will be 1000 runners up chosen. Each runner-up will receive one year of Vocal+ free of charge.

To participant in the contest, you must be a Vocal+ member, which currently costs $99 for the year or $9.99 per month.
